I am currently a software engineer at Luminoso.

Previously I was at MIT, where I completed my MEng degree with Josh Tenenbaum in the Computational Cognitive Science group, and my undergraduate degrees in Brain and Cognitive Sciences and Computer Science and Engineering.

I am interested in how people's minds work, particularly how we figure out complex patterns from input that is unstructured and incomplete and noisy. I think it's pretty amazing that without even thinking about it, you can know all kinds of details about how the world works and even about other people's thoughts, through language as well as through other forms of communication and reasoning. Somehow you learned to do that, and I'd like to find out how.
